I’m going to assume if you’re looking at this that you’ve done your own research on HBOT. Names like Efrati and Harch will ring a bell. I bought this chamber because HBOT is the only therapy that is actually healing my post COVID problems and while the local clinic is awesome, they’re also 45 minutes each way.
So I’ll talk about the chamber itself and then related support.
The chamber is easy to use and set up was pretty straight forward. It takes about 8 minutes to get to 1.3 ATA and another 7 or 8 minutes to 1.5. The included cooler works as well or better than the one in the $50K plus hard chamber from the local clinic. Things do get a little steamy inside if the humidity is over 65% outside but it is still reasonably comfortable inside. I find that the water catcher in the cooler is good for a one hour session right now, but it’s monsoon in southern AZ right now so that’s probably worst case and it only takes about 30 seconds to empty anyway. It’s great to be able to sit up and read or work on a laptop while inside too. Part of my post COVID problems include metabolic changes that added 140 pounds to my 5’11” frame and I still have no problem feeling cramped inside this chamber.
I did quite a bit of price comparison and for the features this is the best option out there from a reputable manufacturer and distributor. This is a very well made chamber. The metal support frame is a major improvement over the other options. Composites that don’t cost more than metal is a code name for ‘fancy’ plastic. I’m not saying there aren’t other well made chambers from reputable suppliers because there are but this one clearly stands out.
I had a number of questions leading up to the purchase and during set up. The RECOLAX team got back to me quickly and with complete answers.
So the bottom line is that this is a very well made chamber at about the best price you’re going to find that is sold by a company that is very responsive when you need support.
